Its 83 days and counting. Well actually its 82.5 but hey thats a trifle and no a sherry one!
BA ( other carriers are available but they weren't as cheap!) called me yet again today, actually whilst I had a young man at me feet!
Don't get excited, I mean how can you get excited the young dude was my chiropidist and he was masked up and taking layers of skin of my feet, so very unsexy!
Anyway, BA, they called last week and said flight would be now departing 1.30pm, ok no problems an hour earlier thats fine.
So told no 2 son I'd be in an hour earlier, whoo, arriving in Vancouver in DAYLIGHT, crivens never done that one before!
So today's call was, your flight ? Aye? Its leaving now at 12.55.
I was half expecting it to be knocked back to the original time.
At this rate I'll be going down the night before to stay over.
But what went through my mind?
WHEN ME GETTING DUTY FREE TIME?
I know sad, truly sad but, I have a tradition, which I can't do at the starting point as Heathrow won't allow fluids through over a certain size, I must buy perfume in London!
Now, tradition is I buy a totally new perfume, one never been on my skin before.
Last year I went for Roses, year before something very nice, limited edition and never been seen since!
Reason it became one I'd never used before was simple, one year I'd got a nice one, liked it but never saw it in mainstream shops, so next time I travelled I got it again then it was all used and I never paid attention , and slowly the name went from my mind.
I do like the dear stuff you know like Coco Chanel. But because the last few years I've sauntered off with something new, flowery I've stuck to that and also the fact Chanel despite the fact its Duty Free isn't that cheap, and no 1 son isn't here to treat his 'ma' to her once a year big bottle ( one of the few things I miss about him, I know I should be ashamed but I'm hard pressed to think of much else!).
Technically I've 2hours to kill in Heathrow but have you seen the size of T5?
Anyway I bet BA go and change the flight again.
Oh and if anyone has a spare £15k I saw a nice Chanel watch in Hamiton and Inches, a mere £15,000, though unsure why it ws that dear tho!!
