Samye Linge , Annual Visit October 2010

Where the 2 rivers meet, very important in Buddhism

The Temple, looking very bright despite the watery sunshine

Buddha inside the main Temple

The Clootie tree, tie a piece of ribbon/cloth with a prayer and it is to go off into the wind to be granted.

Stained glass inside the Stupa

down by the river

prayer wheel ( automatic 1 inside the Temple)

the post beside the Clootie Tree close up

The Stupa
As daughter wants to borrow my camera I thought I'd better see what was on it, bar very boring pictures of iciles etc for us to show insurance people I found these!
Our annual visit to Samye Linge in Eskdalemuir and if you are wondering where / what it is, its a Buddhist temple in the middle of nowhere.
