2nd Jan 2011 today's walk

 I love the fact that the dog and I can venture 5 mins from the house to this

park and walk round a pond with a wetland. Mind you I've a fear of Swans and in the pond there are plenty! There are houses whose back gardens back onto the park and if I ever win the lotto before my visa for me to move to Vancouver for good came through, I want me on of those!

Today not without incident, small dog chasing another dog bounded across , then chased swans into pond and couldn't stop itself  on the icy pavement and into pond it slid. Poor woman, all you could hear was her yelling ' Oh F*'. 

And all I could think  was PLEASE Swim dog! Poor wee thing had problems but with owner,& dog's  determination they got her out. Owner informed me this was why she doesn't normally let her dog off the leash, but today as it had been playing with a random dog she thought fine, what she had bargained for was the other dog to be badly behaved and lead her dog astray. The reason I never let my woofie off his leash? I dam well know he'd never listen and do the same thing!
